The Head and Teachers make themselves available as much as possible for discussion at the end of the school day. Please speak to Tina Howland to make an appointment if you would like to raise a specific question or have any concerns.
We use a parent email system for distributing news and information and, where the information is important or at short notice, this may be backed up by a text message. Please could you let Nicki Mulligan or Tina Howland know if you change your email address or your mobile telephone number. Please also let them know if you think you are not getting messages when you should be.

Collecting at the end of the school day
Burys Court finishes at 3:50 and Moon Hall College at 4:00. The staggered finishing times helps to some extent with traffic congestion at the end of the day but it is inevitable that there will be some backing up of traffic.
If you intend to stop and leave your vehicle could you please park it in front of the garages or in a space on the left before the main building so that your vehicle does not contribute to congestion at the entrance.
If, when you arrive, your child is not there yet to be collected and you see that traffic is building up behind you, please could you proceed around “the circuit” and re-approach. It may feel as though you are going to the back of the queue but if everyone follows this procedure it will speed up collections for all.
Please remember the 10 mph speed limit on our drive. We have had a number of instances of people approaching too fast and accelerating away too fast which can be very dangerous when children are about.
Also, please bear in mind that once your child has been released to you at the end of the day, you are responsible for their safety. If you are parked and stay to talk to staff or to other parents please ensure you also keep an eye on your child.
If you are delayed in collecting for any reason, please telephone the School Office to inform us of the delay and your expected arrival time.
Delivery at the beginning of the day
The school should be open from 8 am.
We are frequently asked about our Homework policy, particularly in the Junior School. Our pupils have a long day at school. In Burys Court they work hard at Literacy and Numeracy during the mornings when they are fresh and then on the other subjects as well as sport and physical education in the afternoons. When they go home we expect them to practise their reading (preferably to a parent) and do some spelling or tables revision. Apart from that we would prefer them to relax, rest and have an early night so they are fresh and ready for the next morning. Further up the school there will be additional homework, especially as GCSEs approach.
