The School

Moon Hall College (the seniors) and Burys Court (the juniors) are one school sharing the Burys Court premises. Burys Court is a substantial Victorian mansion set attractively in 14 acres of grounds with several playing fields, gym, outdoor swimming pool and other recreational areas.

Despite its rural setting, the school is easily accessible from a wide catchment area. We are only 3 miles from Reigate, 4 miles from Redhill, 6 from Dorking and Gatwick and approximately 10 from Epsom, Coulsdon, Godstone and Crawley.

Our school hours are 8:20 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. but there are optional clubs afterwards on most days that continue to 5:30 or 6:00 and sometimes later.

Moon Hall College covers the Key Stages 3 and 4 of the National Curriculum.  We take children from Burys Court, from Moon Hall School and from other schools into College 1 (Year 7) and into more senior years if there are vacancies.

See Curriculum tab for more details about the curriculum we teach.

We provide a range of sporting activities. Our main sports are football, hockey and cricket along with cross country running in the winter terms and athletics in the summer. Swimming is done throughout the year. In the summer term the school's open air heated pool is in daily use but the children also go to a local pool regularly every term. Water polo is played in our pool in the summer.

After school clubs provide further time for the main sports (many an evening is spent by some pupils playing cricket or practising football) but also available are badminton, basketball, netball, tennis, karate, golf, and watersports.
