The School
Moon Hall College (the seniors) and Burys Court (the juniors) are one school sharing the Burys Court premises. Burys Court is a substantial Victorian mansion set attractively in 14 acres of grounds with several playing fields, gym, outdoor swimming pool and other recreational areas.
A programme of refurbishment is underway, designed to match the projected growth in student numbers over the next 5 years. The IT provision has already been upgraded to provide everything necessary for senior students. The networked IT centre is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and more will be added to individual classrooms in a rolling programme. A large Design Technology room has been created and the school already has good sized science and art rooms as well as additional classrooms to be renovated and brought into use as the numbers increase.
A fund-raising programme is also underway, targeted at providing the required resources for fully developing the school, eventually to weekly and occasional day boarding. Over time the school also hopes to build a significant bursary fund to broaden access to the College for dyslexic teenagers from less fortunate backgrounds.
